Sitong Lu

I am Sitong Lu and from Shanxi, China. I am currently a student in Visual arts and design at the University of Sydney, Australia. I had experience in a variety of artistic mediums during my time at university, including painting, screen art, ceramics, and installation art. I am keen to create mixed-material installations to showcase my works among them. Because I think installation art has a robust expressive quality and makes excellent use of 3-dimensional visual effects to portray its principles and concepts, I have been exploring the track of hybrid installation art. In addition, I am majoring in art-related fields, but I also have a strong interest in feminism, and I have achieved excellent results in HD at university. Therefore, most of my works revolve around the concept of the female body, and I hope that I can explore the perception of gender in contemporary society through work while conveying the female power contained in it to the viewers as well.
